Melbourne Stands Up for Nepal

WE ARE NOT IN NEPAL, BUT WE STILL CARE ABOUT NEPAL'S FUTURE ; WE ARE HERE, BECAUSE WE CARE

The three month deadline set by the CA ends in August 2011. While they’re running out of time, they’re not running out of work. More than 90% of what they set out to do has still NOT been achieved. Even worse, completing the peace process and writing the constitution seems to be (increasingly!) going down on their priority list. This is not acceptable!

So let's get together to demand for accountability of our senior politicians and lawmakers, starting with delivery of what’s immediately expected of them - completion of the peace and the constitution drafting process. Essentially, that they DO the work entrusted to them.

They need to set their differences aside and for once put the country’s interests first. Clearly, the pressure needs to continue from all corners, including the street. Join us in sending the message: we’re watching you closely... beware!
